ELM Standards

The CBC Canvas is where we group the CBCs from the CBC List by category to investigate for duplicates and missing concepts. Each core business concept is placed within the correct corresponding column on the canvas. This artifact can be prepared by the facilitator prior to the ELM workshop, or as it is being discussed during the workshop.

By grouping CBC by category, this organization method is especially helpful when there are many identified CBCs and you need examine possible synonyms, or omitted items. In the example below Customer, Kund & Client are organized as synonyms and Product, Book & Coffee are in a hierarchy.

To help in the discussion of whether a concept is its own CBC, synonym of another CBC, or part of hierarchy, you should make use of the CBC Form as it will ease the development of the canvas.
